Feather flotsam

“...Found upon the Tarn a giant white feather floats on the surface moving freely across the water in the direction that the wind dictates.  Imitating the ‘transitory’ in nature and seeming somewhat ephemeral, the feather appears as a sort of enigma, but in contradiction it is produced as an artificial man-made effect; like flotsam in return, it is controlled and affected finally by the changing elements alone”.
